The Chief Guest Mr. Gururaj Hugar addressed the children to take up sports as it is not only required for fitness and well being but excellence in sports itself has many avenues. He also provided information that sports help us in leading life in the right way. He also stated that for the school like Smt. DKPS, the emphasis on sports the all round development of the children and the extra - curricular activities is what is going to make them the wholesome citizens of our country and good leaders in the future, efforts taken by the entire team.
The Chairman Mr. Jagadish Kalyanshettar appreciated the student’s performance. The culmination of the day witnessed loud cheers during the prize distribution ceremony at the hands of the Chief Guest and the dignitaries.
The day concluded with the Vote of Thanks and Vande Mataram. It was a day filled with sportsmanship and enthusiasm and memories to cherish.

On the 29th of December Smt. Drakshayani Kalyanshettar Public School hosted its 15th Annual Sports Meet  VIJETA 2023- 24 (Pre-Primary & Primary Session at 8:15 am) along with JK International Pre- Primary Section at BDK expansive ground, Shantapuram Layout served as the venue for the day’s event.

The event saw the presence of the distinguished Chief Guest Mr. Gururaj Hugar -Admin, Bureau Chief - Suvarna News ,Chairman of J.K education society Mr. Jagdish Kalyanshetter, Principal Mrs. Indira Vijay Kumar,  Vice Principal Mrs. Anjana Kurdekar, Academic Counsellor Mrs. Sushma Kulkarni and a large gathering of Parents, press, media, and children.
A day filled with fervour and excitement experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers.

The students of Pre-Primary and Primary participated in the events and surprised the audience with their skilful performance disguising them self as different sports person and cartoon characters, colourful ping pong drill and beautiful umbrella and flower dance added beauty to the event.
